Overview

Use this feature to configure a password that will protect certain directories of your account. If you enable this feature, a user who tries to open a protected folder will be prompted to enter a username and password before they can access the content.

Configure a password for a directory

To password protect a directory, perform the following steps:

  1. Select the directory that you wish to lock with a password. Click folder icon to navigate to a different folder. Click the folder name to select it.
    • Note: Any subdirectories that are located in the directory that you select will also be password protected.
  2. Select the Password protect this directory checkbox.
  3. Enter the name that you want visitors to see in the Name the protected directory text box.
    • Note: The directory name can be anything, regardless of what the directory itself is named.
  4. Click Save.

After you complete this process, you must create a user that can access this directory.

Change password

To change the authorized user's password, perform the following steps:

  1. Reenter the user's information in the Create User form.
  2. In the Password text box, enter the new password you wish to save for that user.
