Email filters use the criteria that you specify to determine how to handle email messages. The following cPanel interfaces allow you to configure email filters:-
- The Global Email Filters interface
- Login to cPanel --> Email --> Global Email Filters
- Global email filters used for all email addresses
- The Email Filters interface
- Login to cPanel --> Email --> Email Filters
- This is user level filters for specific email addresses
Create filter
To create a new filter, perform the following steps:-
- In the Email section of your cPanel, click Global Filters or Email Filters
- Click create New Filter
- Enter a name for the filter in the Filter Name text box
- Configure your filter rule and actions
Edit filter
To edit an existing filter, perform the following steps:-
- Click Edit next to appropriate filter name
- Make the desired changes to the filter
- Click Save
Delete filter
To delete a filter, perform the following steps:-
- Click Delete the desired filter
- Click Delete Filter to confirm
Filter Test
To test a filter, perform the following steps:-
- In the Filters by Users table, click Manage Filters next to the desired email account
- Enter a test email massage in the Filter Test box (Please insert the characters or words you set up for your filter)
- Click Test Filter
